“Au milieu de l’hiver, j’ai découvert en moi un invincible été.”

  1. Au milieu de l’hiver,j’ai découvert en moi un manque de courage et une maladresse épouvantable. Epuisée par la maladie, je me suis retrouvée aliénée de moi-même.

  2. “ I came so far for beauty
    I left so much behind
    My patience and my family
    My masterpiece unsigned
    I thought I’d be rewarded
    For such a lonely choice
    And surely he would answer
to such a very hopeless voice “

  3. Given certain circumstances, to reach the nearly impossible needs immense focus. Yet finn. was invincible in Chur. “Julius Caesar” being his “veni vidi vici”.
“The thruth is a lie” was overwhelmingly strong. He was holding the audience in the palm of his hand.
Of all the Moon River interpretations I ever heard, by finn. or anyone else, in Chur it brought tears to my eyes. So subtle, delicate and moving. Heaven on earth. Impossible to leave. Maybe Camus was right: unbearably beautiful.

I didn’t recover, was so impressed I could only whisper “thank you” –

So thank you (and please forgive my silly behaviour – that’s what happens when one is not prepared to be near someone numinous).

  4. Wauw :-)! Numinous… “ the numinous experience has two aspects… the tendency to invoke fear and trembling (it did); ... and the tendency to attract, fascinate and compel.”

  5. Cette citation magnifique de Camus prouve que tu es heureux, Patrick, là où tu te trouves en ce moment, et cela fait du bien au coeur! Merci!

  6. Come, come thou bleak December wind,
And blow the dry leaves from the tree!
    Flash, like a love-thought thro’me Death
And take a Life that wearies me.
